Guinea Pig Care
Guinea Pig Care can often prove to be challenging. Yet as time has gone on it definitely becomes easier as more and more Guinea Pig products are imported internationally. One of the reasons for the challenge for Guinea Pig care is that despite the fact that so many products are imported, with weak currencies it makes these products very expensive. Breeders are put under a lot of pressure with providing well bred stock, at higher prices to cover the high costs of breeding and raising healthy correctly fed babies for the market. Other challenges for Guinea Pig owners and breeders, is the inconsistent supply of imported foods, as often imported products are not available due to the slow import process, as the general Guinea Pig "market" is not large enough to warrant large quantities for the importers to import.
With all this in mind as Guinea Pig owners we enter into a contract with our piggies that does not always afford us the opportunity to be able to provide for our Pigs the way international owners are able to provide their pigs.
